San Francisco Civic Center
If you conduct a search for the SF Civic Center, you will find maps that show an outline of the neighborhood marked by a dotted line, which also happens to represent an arrow.
The solution became obvious, it’s a symbol that can be used to suggest movement, growth and improvement, so we turned the arrow around and always had it pointing up. It’s also a shape that the Civic Center of San Francisco can really own.
