| The Collection showcases artefacts that trace the history of Lincolnshire from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages through to the Saxon, Viking and Medieval eras. If only these objects could speak, imagine the stories they could tell… Our design proposal to promote the new improvements at the museum focuses on the phrase ‘Learn and Play with The Collection’. This concept allowed us to create a powerful visual narrative, using a strong element of wit expressed through words and images to create a number of different personalities and characters which invites and encourages interaction from people of all ages. The concept works across many different platforms including posters, flyers, online, press advertising and shop merchandise. The key developments and improvements at The Collection include a new ‘learn and play’ area for younger visitors, containing a host of interactive features, helping engage the younger audience in a new and vibrant way. A better dining experience with a newly furnished café and the installation of new display cases in the Orientation Hall which allows visitors to experience an even greater selection of the many artefacts the museum has to offer.
